PLOT TWIST AT LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT
PLUS: DID FRANCIS REALLY FUMBLE THE BAG?

Hello fight fans! Listen – we know UFC 290 is a tough act to follow, but some recent happenings in the fight world sprinkled some flavor onto it. Let's dig in.

TYSON FURY VS NGANNOU OFFICIAL
The combat world turned on its head earlier this week when the news of Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou broke out. Looks like Ngannou has secured the big payday he was looking for. Both of them will go head to head to see who’s the baddest man on the planet in Saudi Arabia on October 28th. However, Fury’s WBC title won't be on the line.

JAMAHAL HILL VACATES LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
The UFC Light Heavyweight Title just can’t seem to stay with its rightful owner. Jamahal Hill is the latest to vacate the belt because he ruptured his achilles tendon, and will be sidelined for several months to rehab the injury. He won the belt back at UFC 283 in January against Glover Teixeira. Now Jan Blachowicz vs Alex Pereira for the LHW doesn’t sound like a bad idea.

ZUCK HAS 2 CHAMPS ON HIS TEAM FOR HIS FIGHT VS ELON
Yep you heard it right. Mark Zuckerberg trained and hung out alongside Israel Adesanya and Alex Volkanovski. Adesanya posted the pictures on his social media which caught many by surprise seeing how jacked Zuckerberg really looked. Zuck training with Volk, Elon with GSP… we might really live in a simulation after all.

DU PLESSIS JUMPS TO NO. 2 IN THE MIDDLEWEIGHT DIVISION
Shocking the entire world at UFC 290 by absolutely manhandling Robert Whittaker was no easy task. This is why Du Plessis has now jumped from No. 8 in the MW rankings to No. 2 which is no less than a feather in a cap for the South African. The showdown with Adesanya awaits and the rivalry between the two will no doubt get heated.

ISLAM’S COACH LOOKING FORWARD TO VOLK REMATCH
Javier Mendez was impressed by Alex Volkanovksi’s performance at UFC 290. He feels that the rematch between the two is the fight which makes the most sense and will inevitably happen down the line. He confirmed that the UFC has booked Makhachev for UFC 294 on October 21st in Abu Dhabi but no opponent has been finalized for him yet.

Started production on the next doc which has been massively requested over the past year (drum roll)…the one and only El Cucuy: Tony Ferguson. I’m planning to release it around UFC 291. He’s such a fascinating character yet it’s tricky to tackle some of the most recent stuff that’s happened to him. Hopefully I get to do it right and in a respectful way. Enjoy your weekend guys!
