COLBY COVINGTON GETS DANA WHITE PRIVILEGE

UFC President Dana White remained adamant on handing out the Dana White privilege to Colby Covington at the UFC San Antonio Post Fight Press Conference. He added that if Usman had beaten Edwards at UFC 286 they would have made the Usman vs Covington Trilogy next!

Fight fans! This is the very first newsletter so if you’re reading this, you’re one of the OGs. As we inch closer to UFC 287 fight week, there have been some interesting developments inside the MMA world this week.

COVINGTON NEXT IN LINE FOR EDWARDS

GAETHJE WANTS REMATCH VS POIRIER

‘The most entertaining fighter in the UFC’ has set his sights on a rematch against Dustin Poirier. Coming off an impressive victory at UFC 286, Gaethje believes a win over Poirier puts him right in the title picture once again.

OLIVEIRA LOOKING TO HUNT DARIUSH AT UFC 288

Charles Oliveira looks to be in a war state of mind ahead of his crunch matchup against Beneil Dariush at UFC 288. The Brazilian’s plan is to move forward and pressurize his opponent. Oliveira sees holes in Dariush’s game plan and aims to fight for the title next after he gets his hand raised on May 6th.

MERAB VS UMAR NURMAGOMEDOV TARGETED FOR JULY

After making it clear that he won’t be fighting his best friend Aljamain Sterling, Merab seemed to upset the UFC president Dana White. In return Dana gifted him a matchup against the young Russian Eagle Umar Nurmagomedov. The fight was originally planned for May but Merab’s hand injury means it will have to be delayed until July.

ILIA TOPURIA TO FACE JOSH EMMETT ON JUNE 17

Ilia Topuria bags his first UFC Main Event against the veteran Josh Emmett on June 17th. This would be Topuria’s biggest test to date. He put a beating on Bryce Mitchell back at UFC 282 while Emmet lost to Yair Rodriguez recently at UFC 284. This is a perfect striker vs striker matchup and is guaranteed to create fireworks.
