MCGREGOR IN BIG TROUBLE

PLUS: DANA ANNOUNCES A TON OF FIGHTS

Fight fans! How are we doing? This week looks to be stacked in terms of latest fight updates, crunch fight cards and some controversial news surrounding one of the biggest MMA stars. Let’s just dive right into it.

CONOR MCGREGOR ACCUSED OF SEXUAL ASSAULT

Another day, another Conor McGregor headline. But this one won't go down well in the eyes of many. The Irishman has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman after an NBA Finals basketball game in Miami earlier this month. However, a spokesperson from McGregor's camp has denied all the allegations.

CIRYL GANE TO HEADLINE UFC PARIS VS SPIVAC

Ciryl Gane will headline UFC Paris vs. Spivac, aiming to bounce back from his humiliating defeat against Jon Jones. He will face Serghei Spivac in his home country on September 2nd. Meanwhile, Spivac is also riding a three-match win streak and will look to make a statement and capitalize on the Frenchman's lack of ground game.

UMAR NURMAGOMEDOV VS CORY SANDHAGEN TO TAKE PLACE IN NASHVILLE

During Dana White's announcement yesterday, he confirmed that the UFC will return to Nashville on August 5th. The UFC Fight Night card will be headlined by Umar Nurmagomedov and Cory Sandhagen. These two bantamweights will look to lock horns inside the Octagon and make their case for the Bantamweight title shot next.

KOREAN ZOMBIE FED TO MAX HOLLOWAY

Another exciting announcement from Dana White that has got fans excited is the return of the UFC to Singapore, once again after UFC 275 last year. However, what may confuse fans is the matchmaking decision of the UFC, as they have given the contract to Max Holloway to potentially deliver the final blow to the Korean Zombie. The fight is scheduled to take place on August 26th.

GEOFF NEAL VS IAN GARRY ADDED TO UFC 292

Another exciting addition has been made to the already stacked UFC 292 card. The formidable Geoff Neal will face the rising Irishman Ian Garry, who’s aiming to climb up the welterweight rankings and position himself for a title shot. In his previous fight, Neal suffered a submission loss to Shavkat Rakhmanov. On the other hand, Ian Garry recently faced D Rod and swiftly dispatched the California native.

Another week spent working on Jon Jones Part II. It’s the part of the process that I refer to as ‘‘the great desert’’ - feeling lost in all the footage, trying to see the horizon and figure out the best direction. Lots of previous docs have perished in the desert. Wish me good luck! ;)
