Fight fans! We are just hours away from one of the most highly anticipated and stacked UFC cards of the year. With that being said, there’s also been some huge announcements and exciting fight news this week. Let's just dive straight into it.
GSP ANNOUNCES RETURN TO COMBAT SPORTS
UFC Hall of Famer Georges St-Pierre is gearing up for a highly anticipated comeback in the world of martial arts. He is slated to make his return at the UFC Fight Pass Invitational grappling event scheduled for December. This might come as a surprise to fans as they saw GSP last compete in the Octagon back at UFC 217.
JONES VS MIOCIC ANNOUNCED FOR UFC 295 IN NYC
After months of teasing, Dana White finally announced a much expected fight just before this week’s weigh-ins. Featuring Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic, the heavyweight bout will be the main event of UFC 295 that’s set to take place on November 11th at Madison Square Garden.
DANA WHITE HOPEFUL CONOR WILL FIGHT IN 2023
In an interview with TSN, Dana White expressed optimism regarding Conor McGregor's potential return to the ring before the year concludes. Although acknowledging that the Irishman has yet to enter the USADA Testing Pool, White indicated that there remains a possibility of witnessing McGregor's comeback despite his situation with USADA.
HEAVYWEIGHT BANGER ANNOUNCED IN SYDNEY
UFC 293 will take place in Sydney, Australia in September. The card is rumored to be headlined by Israel Adesanya but it looks like the fans will also be getting their favorite Heavyweight Tai Tuivasa compete against the tough Alexander Volkov. Imagine the scenes with the ‘shoey’ if Tai Tuivasa wins in front of his home crowd.
ADESANYA AND JONES FINALLY SQUASH THEIR BEEF
What was once regarded as a superfight to make back in 2020 has now officially turned into a bromance. Israel Adesanya took everyone by surprise after he posted a video alongside Jon Jones and the two seemed to get along really well. Indeed this a win for the whole MMA community seeing great athletes respecting each other. They way it should be!
